Doors and Windows
All doors and windows supplied with Honka and Finwood buildings are of the highest quality. (Choices in style and size can be seen by clicking on to the ‘Honka Look’ link on the ‘Brochures’ menu.)

The windows are generally inward opening, which assists with security and ease of cleaning and are triple or double glazed with Argon gas filling. The locks and latches are also of the highest quality with a choice of finish (again see Honka Look). The internal and external doors supplied with Honka buildings are also of a particular high quality. Any glass in these doors is triple glazed and the top quality locks and handles are subject to a choice of finish (see Honka Look)

External Staining
It is necessary that, following construction, log buildings should be coated externally with a micro-porous wood stain. The wood stain suppliers offer a large range of colours and whilst in some areas the Local Authorities may insist upon a certain shade, generally the client can choose to have their log building in their preferred colour. Reapplication of one coat of external wood stain is generally necessary after about 4 to 5 years.
